Digital Branding

Consistent branding for web domains not only reinforces the organizational tone and messaging, but also leads to increased engagement, longer session times, and and overall better user experience. Please find examples below of my experience in overseeing, creating, and implementing branding guides for an organization and its digital platforms.

  • Color Palette

To start the website design process, I was able to work with organizational leadership and volunteers to understand organizational tone. Using logo colors as a base, we were able to create a palette that was both accessible to new users but still conveyed expertise.

  • Typography & Buttons

To ensure branding consistency, all elements of web design were created and documented prior to implementation. This not only led to uniformity and user experience improvements, but also streamlined the process by allowing us to create a custom CSS stylesheet.

Example Components

  • Homepage

Using the branding guidelines as a foundation and leveraging my understanding of platform flexibility and customization based on conversations with vendors, I was able to design homepage mock-ups to present to senior leadership.

  • Calls to Action

Critical to the success of any website, calls to action and their graphic representation are important to retain and engage users. I designed different variations of calls to action in line with branding standards to be represented on relevant pages, providing consistency in look and feel and improving user experience and engagement.

  • Featured Article

To ensure branding consistency and improved user interface, I developed designed modules for all major website components and detailed documentation on when and how to use each module. As the website grew, additional modules were designed to accommodate all content.
